Drive with the windows down A LOT and it will soon be gone. There is also something called Ozonium (sp?) and that helps too. It's a spray that you just roll up the windows and spray it a few seconds and close the door. Wait an hour or so and go back out and open the windows for a while and then start driving!

After a good wipe down of everything you can. Crumble up some news paper and leave a open container of bleach in the vehicle with the windows closed over night. After letting it air out, Febreeze it. That will get most of it out. Im allergic to sig smoke, done this before with good results.

Good Luck

Just give it time with lots of air movement.

My cigar smell usually is gone in about a week. But I don't smoke in my truck very often.

Wide shallow containers of AMMONIA left in vehicle with rolled up windows overnight.Or/and an ozone generator (as used in smoke removal after a home fire) first followed by ammonia.Trust me
The Ozone will destroy most known organic odors. But since it also acts as a bleach will also degrade fabrics and MUST BE VENTED AFTER USING prior to human occupancy. The ammonia degrades into water after 10/12 hours.

The key here is 'accidently'!

Use a live trap like a Hav-a-Hart to trap a skunk and turn it loose in the car. That usually does it!

remove the seats, shampoo everything. that will get some of it out.
for the duct work, a couple air fresheners on the filter or near the return vent will help.
Past that, time, heat, and sun.

not that I am old ( pointing shotgun ) but

any AMWAY products still available? they had a liquid spray that did quite the job within an hour, safe for carpets too. had to go to some houses where three pack a day people lived. amazing product. simple name like smoke out...

probably hazardous to something in california so they stopped making it or sumtin'....

After you remove everything fabric, lay it out in the driveway on a hot sunny day and scrub it down using Simple Green and water and then throw away the padding.

You also need to open up your heater airbox and clean out your evaporator and heater core using HVAC coil cleaner, I used that first and then ZEP Citrus Cleaner, if you can take your dash apart you need to clean out all of the sticky smoke and dust residue from inside the ductwork.

Good thing about smells, your smeller shuts down after a short time so you can tolerate it well somewhat, except when I have to work in Koreatown.

After that there is still the jar of Vick's Vapor Rub

There ought to be a law against smoking in vehicles, endangering the life of the poor car.
