Sliding Load Deck
Sliding Load Deck
Some time ago I saw a web site from somebody in Alberta who made heavy duty 'drawer slides' that attach to the bed of a truck and on which you installed a deck of somekind. The thing is basically a big drawer that can hold 1000lbs. Do any you knowledgeable folk know where I might find this again.

I have seen some storage pull out bed liners that have one big drawer that comes out all the way and has legs that drop down to stabilize the drawer and it had adjustable storage spaces in it, and you still could use your bed, they were at a commercial truck equipment sales center call Precission Truck Accessory. They looked pretty handy if you work out of your truck and still need the bed space also. We looked at them to see if they would be cost effective instead of the service beds for plumbing trucks, but they wouldn't hold the same capacity. Goodluck,,,Rick
Hey Pat!
Truck Outfitters down on Barlow Trail had them on sale awhile ago for $700. All you got was the mechanism. You had to supply the deck, which is basically a sheet of 3/4 plywood! I know Raven Truck Accessories on Mcloed Trail sells them, don't know how much though.
Hope it helps!

I have a Bedslide unit in my truck and am very happy with it. I paid around 700 canadian for it. The unit is made of steel and has a sheet of plywood on it covered with indoor outdoor carpet. This thing works great and the only thing I did do is put a good handle on the side so i can get it out of the truck easier when its right loaded.
If you see one made of aluminum walk away as I had one of these units and had nothing but problems with it. This particular one has a plastic tray where you put all your stuff which to me was useless as everything would fly around on it.
Here is the website for the good one http://www.bedslide.com/
Good Luck
