If you are that serious about making it a long bed, contact towing manufacturers. They make the frame section to add in for longer length. They make roll backs that way. From what I understand they ahve a slipover frame section complete with cross member. Then you would have to get a long bed. It really would be easier just trading.

Hopefully this summer I will be stretching mine over five feet, but I have done this work extensively before and have the equipment.
Slippin another axle underneath it????

Nah, learned my lessons on that from different tag axle setups. The frame really needs to be built for that from the front to the back to add an axle (three axle). Tandum rear axles try to go straight while the front in a turn twists the frame, real hard on the system. I am adding a large sleeper and probably installing a F550 ford axle. Depends where I go with suspension at the rear. I keep getting log writeups for no sleeper and I getting old for sleeping in the seat.

If you are going to change out the blinker fluid, use the synthetic, and don't forget the friction modifier. Scotty, you've got that in stock, don't you?

You might want to consider adding a couple of "cans of compresion" next time you change your oil. I think napa has the 6-pack on sale. Simply remove the injectors, one at a time, open a can, dump it into the cylinder, and put the injector back. Have fun.
