Shop owner in Philly backs English only language.

I just saw on Yahoo news that a shop owner in Philadelphia put up signs that customers are to order in English only. I can't believe that he is catching heat over this. To me this is why we need our national language to be English. I have nothing at all against someone from another country and if I were to travel to the heart of say China I had better know how to speak some Chinese as I wouldn't expect them to learn English for my benefit. They are trying to liken this to the Jim Crow days and racism but I just can't see that. If it were me behind the counter of his sandwich shop and someone ordered something in arabic I wouldn't have a hope in the world of understanding if he were ordering a ham and cheese or or philly beef with swiss.

I live 35 mins. from this place. Its a very popular spot. I was there for a bachelore party (we stopped to eat there) and it was PACKED with people. Nothing will happen to the owner. All he is simple asking for people to do it to "order in english". NO customer has EVERY been refused service.
