Thanks to nonrev and Oliver I 'wasted' a lot of time today doing considerable research on their ideas. Oliver, you provided some excellent pointers, thank you. Some of the stuff at Muldoon's looks very enticing. Unfortunately it does not look feasible or practical for me to make the conversion. One problem is my location. Importing what I would need is costly. Also, if I run into any problems it would take considerable time to resolve them, import more parts or whatever. There are quite a few other things I considered that makes me say thanks, but no thanks. Darn!
At the moment it appears that my best course of action is that after the new year I will get my truck 'prettied up', detailed etc, then put it on both the Mexican and US markets and see what surfaces. Perhaps I will get lucky and find someone who want to swop trucks with me and we both go away happy.
Thanks guys for all your suggestions and help.

Kurt, I hear you, but never had any reason to sell it until my legs started to act up, resulting in me having more and more trouble pushing the clutch in, particularly in stop and go traffic. Really don't want to sell the truck as as I with all the upgrades it is now the truck that I want. Unfortunately time and age (I will be 83 next month) is catching up with me, so now need to change to something with an automatic.
Kurt
