(& Sebring question?????
I bought a 97 Sebring new as a cheap work car, I drove 112 miles one way to work 5 days a week!! I soon moved closer to work and didnt drive it as much. Now it has 18x,xxx miles. Lately it has developed what sounds like a wheel bearing failure. It has an awful "growl" going straight or turning right, a left turn or curve and the noise goes silent. I have replaced the right wheel bearing both tie rod ends and checked the axles. The noise is as bad or worse then ever. One thing that came to mind was the fact I have never checked or changed the tranny fluid, 5 speed.
Anybody have a ideal where how to check the tranny fluid? I have searched and cannot find anything. I did pull the reverse light sensor and drop a 1/2 pint of lucas in it. Any thoughts what may be causing my noise??
Thanks a lot guys.

I had a 97 neon that got hit when it had only 10,000mi, got it back from the bodyshop and it did the same thing. Driving straight or turning right made a growling noise and turning left didn't affect it at all. Passenger wheel bearing was shot, and got replaced for free.
