My ship just pulled into Seattle for Fleet Week...if it turns out anything like last year, it's SURE to make for a good time! Hope all is well with ya'll!

 

well derek, hop on the ferry to bainbridge island, i'll pick you up.....how long are you going to be in town? diesel thunder is coming up next weekend

 

We leave next week...what is the going rate on that ferry to Bainbridge? Sounds like a good time! I have duty on Friday, but am off Saturday and Sunday, which I am assuming are the days of the diesel thunder thing, huh? If so, let me know and I will talk with my command...are there any hotels out there for me to make a reservation at or is it just a one day thing? Very cool of you to make an offer like that...I really appreciate it...

 

diesel thunder is aug 11. so you unfortunately will be gone.
the ferry is around $5 heading west and free going back east(for walkons)
gonna be camping this weekend, but i can get you tomorrow evening for a bbq if you wish.

 

Aww man! That sucks! I appreciate the offer, but we have a Command reception tomorrow that lasts until around 10pm, so I won't be getting off the ship until then...DO have a good time at the Diesel Thunder event...just by the name, it's going to be a really good time! Make sure to take pics and post em up! Maybe I will catch ya next time...again, thanks...your offer was really generous!

Well, the least we can do is welcome you to the Pacific Northwest. We love it hereabouts. Wish we could do more for you but you'll still have a good time. At least you caught us with some decent weather (for a change)....

This is the second year in a row that I have had the opportunity to hit up the "Little Red Hen"...WICKED little country music bar! On Wednesdays, they have karaoke and I was lightin it up and having a GREAT TIME! LOTS of folks bought me free drinks, I sang some cool songs, danced with some cute little women (don't tell the wife ) and all in all had a blast! Good town ya'll locals got here!

 

there is always pike place market, seattle center, seattle underground tour, ride one of the ducks, hit some of the casinos(plenty around) take a ferry to bremerton and meet a future wife(they love sailors here ), actually dont come to brem, nothing here worth seeing.
just go to seafair and have a ball. if i was going to be in town this weekend, i'd pick you up, and cause trouble.

 

Nah, he's found the good place to be.....After all, he's in the Navy and you know how they are.......(Insert any rumor you wish to start)

 

I would suggest a ball game, but unfortunately the Mariners are in Chicago that weekend. My wife bought me and my boys tickets for a game in May. Man that was a good time.
