Mine's nothing really that exciting. My college mascott was the Blue Devil and I was a Discus/Hammer/Shot Putter on the track team.

The discus and hammer are rotational throws and I threw the shot rotational style instead of the glide. Since they all required you to generated a great amount of torque and the good old cummins is the master of making torque I made up BlueDevilTorque.

"Pistol" has been my given nickname since I was a baby. Born 3 months too early and no bigger'n a pistol. Well, that and the fact that I have been known to shoot my mouth off ... repeatedly . I have grade cards from school that have the nick-name on it and even my CO and XO call me Pistol (for the latter reason I'm sure). Bruce .... we seem to have the same "other" nickname .... must be a lot of sensitive people out there is all I can say.

When I was a machinist on the ship everyone used to come up and say "Hey Pistol, can ya whip this up for me ?" so I hung a sign outside the shop door "PISTOL-WHIPT MACHINE WORKS". Used it for every under-the-table venture I did after that. When I finally get all my stuff in one sack and get a real money making business going ... that will be the name as well.

PISTOL

When I joined here I wanted a diesel. I got one, and I still want it, so the name stays.

I'm lazy, Lee Jordan (pronounced Jerdan) Tyre, it's my name on everything, even my school ID.

My college mascott was the Blue Devil and I was a Discus/Hammer/Shot Putter on the track team.
Those wouldn't happen to be the Blue Devils right down the road in Durham would they?

Natlchamp2k4, you're a track athlete and thats all cool in my book. It don't matter if you run, jump or Throw.... its all good.

LJTyre, I can't say that i'm from those Blue Devils. I'm from the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils. Lesser well known school, colder weather, not exactly the track capital of America by anymeans but I still had the time of my life doing it.

I started out as F-250 Hoss. The "F-250" came because at the time I joined my first message board (FordDiesel.com at the time), I owned an F-250. I joined up over here and kept the F-250 just so everyone would know I was the same person they knew (and loved) at Ford Diesel. When I traded in the Ford for a Dodge I dropped the "F-250" and became just Hoss, which I suppose is a fitting name since I get called that a lot anyway.

Oddly enough, this is the only forum I participate in where I post as Hoss (aka Javaluva aka Jack). On the other forums I participate in (Glocktalk.com, TexasCHLForum.com & occasionally TheHighRoad.org) I post under the name Braden because Hoss was already taken when I joined those boards.
