I'm really worried here
Here's an email I got this morning:
Dear Yuben Yankinov,
Thank you for the response, we want you to realize this is paypal and not western union and every customer terms and conditions apply. we are to carry out our own security measures on the transfer and check the authenticity before making any progress in transferring it to the recipient.
We hereby advise you to send us the details now for verification as western union can carry out their own measures as well as we do have to carry out our own measures. The transaction will be passed to the phone section now or will be directed to the police for delaying and security bridging.
You are hereby advised to have the ten digits on the western union receipt sent back to us now with the sender's name and have the remaining info sent to us as soon as western union confirms the agent's info and address.
We hope this does not get any rougher than this.

I understand the internet police are under investigation themselves by the MIB (Microsoft Investigation Bureau)...It seems Bill Gates' personal email account was spoofed and identified with a **** server...Even though they were hiding behind 87 proxies, MIB quickly tracked it to a Dell laptop running Windows Vista abandoned in the pay toilet inside Internet Police Headquarters...
The pay toilet was funded with a credit card reported as stolen by Steve Jobs' downstairs maid...Since toilet fraud is now involved, the investigation has widened to the Plumbers Union who immediately called for a strike vote...
I'm afraid the Internet Police will have their hands full unraveling this mystery and it may be some time before they can get back to the Paypal/Western Union scandal...Robert/Adrian may have to wait...

So this morning there's no email from our paypal guy but instead Robert/Adrian sends me an email... He just wants to know what's going on...

LoL! Thanks for tying him (or them) up for awhile anyway. You will either never hear from him again or you will start getting threats. They use the threats as a last resort and can be pretty brave when texting from the Ukraine.

My parents got a similar one a couple times while trying to sell my dad's office furniture. Something like "Hi I'm Dr. so-and-so, and I would like to buy your desk. Im in Hawaii on vacation, but my secretary will send you a check for 2000 dollars (the desk was 500) Please send me back the difference in cash so my secretary has money to pay the movers" I dont remember exactly, but it went something like that. I'm a little slow and too trusting of people, so I didnt catch on, but Ive heard this is another scam where they send you a bad check, and they get 1500 dollars of your cash, while the bad check is a false name so it cant really be traced, so its on you. So be on the lookout for similar ones, we got another story almost exactly like this, but a different "profession" and "vacation spot"

I got an e-mail yesterday from along time friend of mine that said they were in Europe on vacation & were robbed of their cash & credit cards & wanted to know if I could wire them some $$ & they would pay me back when they got home. How stupid do these people think we are? My friends are hard at work & seen one of them two days ago at Home Depot where they work. I wonder how many nieve people fall for this stuff?

A scammer's dream come true Well maybe not after this, he gets to go to Western Union with a fake MTC number! Let's see how many times he will go... The number is - wait for it - 867 5309 
with 911 added in front to make it 10 digits. I wonder what his response will be!
