TOB&F.
Funny, that's the only thing people ever remember about Waco.....we have quite a bit more here than just some messed up, so-called Messiah. The Baylor football program is making quite a name for us here over the past couple years.

It's cold and miserable out and I need to go mow the lawn. Still in the 40's here and by the end of next week they're calling for freezing temps...BBRRRRR. I think I'm already looking forward to Spring.

Ya'll have good one. Later

I think what most of us think of is the way the Govt completely screwed up the whole situation when it NEVER should have gone as far as it did.....it has become a battle cry against the heavy handed tactics of a government run completely amok....

Mornin' all. Found out just last night that I have a class to teach this morning. I don't mind really, it just woulda been nice to have more than 5 hours notice! At least I now know I have a 3AM class coming up this week!

J_Martin, stairs haven't been an issue but driving has. It's hard learning to turn my head in the direction I want to look instead of just moving my eyes.

Today is Saturday, November 9th.

1872 - A fire destroyed about 800 buildings in Boston, MA. (If you're really interested in this event, talk to Tim. I think he was there.)

1906 - U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt left for Panama to see the progress on the new canal. It was the first foreign trip by a U.S. president.

1923 - In Munich, the Beer Hall Putsch was crushed by German troops that were loyal to the democratic government. The event began the evening before when Adolf Hitler took control of a beer hall full of Bavarian government leaders at gunpoint.

1938 - **** troops and sympathizers destroyed and looted 7,500 Jewish businesses, burned 267 synagogues, killed 91 Jews, and rounded up over 25,000 Jewish men in an event that became known as Kristallnacht or "Night of Broken Glass."

1961 - Major Robert White flew an X-15 rocket plane at a world record speed of 4,093 mph.

1965 - The great Northeast blackout occurred as several states and parts of Canada were hit by a series of power failures lasting up to 13 1/2 hours.

1967 - A Saturn V rocket carrying an unmanned Apollo spacecraft blasted off from Cape Kennedy on a successful test flight.

1981 - U.S. troops began arriving in Egypt for a three-week Rapid Deployment Force excercise. Somalia, Sudan and Oman were also involved in the operation.

1989 - Communist East Germany opened its borders, allowing its citizens to travel freely to West Germany.

2004 - U.S. First Lady Laura Bush officially reopened Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House to pedestrians.

Today's thought:
It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

C0ffee & ph00 are ready.

TOB&F please.

Iīll just stay out of that chili-thing, I was at a b-dayparty a couple of years ago where they served some chili-thing, and I just couldnīt eat it, you can have mine.
I just canīt eat spicy food, it burns in my mouth, and we all know that thatīs just the beginning...
Work is over for the next week, so maybe Iīll get something done around here for a change, if my plan doesnīt go completely to youknowwhere, it usually does that though.
Weīll see how bad it gets...and then take it from there as always.
At least thereīs no snow in my forecast so far, but rainy and windy is good too I guess.

Hello folks, Hope all are well.

Finally pulled the trigger and bought a front mount snow blower for my Kubota. Liquidated the tranny fund to the tune of $4.100 for the blower so now back to saving for the tranny, luckily its in good shape. Also bought a transfer case overhaul kit for $400.oo complete with chain and sprockets, sweet! That will be next weeks project.

Off to clear the garage, service the tractor then pick up the grand daughter for the weekend.

Hope y'all have a great weekend.

Who the heck schedules a 3am class?!

You should have been used to turning your head from looking around that fur coat on your face?

I wasn't there for the big one in Boston, however I was there in 99 for the big one in my city that leveled 11 city blocks. Looked like a war zone, we were there for a week.

Western Michigan University, Facilities Maintenance & Construction, that's who. All 300+ of them. Gotta catch all 3 shifts. God forbid they come in on their own time, for an hour or two, to gain knowledge on something that will benefit THEM.

I have no fur on my face! Have you forgotten my loveable and handsome face already?

My biggest was the Lynn fire the year after I got on the call department. Learned more at that fire in one week than I did at the academy or any training since. Learned about cans there too!

Afternoon all.

MAYBE going to be test running the processor this afternoon. MAYBE.

Happy Saturday all y'all. So much for a relaxing day. I have already completed half a dozen chores, the phone has been ringing off the wall (ok - who actually has a phone on a wall these days) and DW and I are heading into the city for dinner as a treat from the guy who we give our hay to. It is a frosty day on the sunny and dry side of the Rockies. Snow later today and again tomorrow and then again the day after I sure am glad I have good snow tires on my car.

Have wonderful Saturday everyone and be safe.

still T shirt weather here, 46 and no wind. had snow on the parked jeep last night. Does anyone else get 'gropple'? Lake snow situation, moisture hits dry air with high pressure, like Styrofoam pellets. then that drops down though low pressure area. usually melts then.

chaikwa-test run inside the shop? eek. hope M is at the training center.

yes, you do have a fur collar. surprised to learn you HAVE a face, no wonder you move your eyes. REAL truck drivers move their heads 210 degrees radius for safety. just sayin'

chores done, even made time for lunch downtown with tenant again, he seems to like that. told him what time the village ol men get together at McDonalds or the senior center for games, BS, nice lunch. he told me he liked The Liar's Table at a local place in Arkansas. star of the show, hehehe.

doing the same project over and over, think I am done then I don't like the results. this is the test for insanity, isn't it?
