Sam the Shrew is dead---RIP
[QUOTE=Totallyrad;3062120]http://www.bugspray.com/article/shrews.html
This video shows how to get rid of them cheap and has a cool truck at the end.
Now that's some good stuff right there.I use that concoction for my local ground squirrels and other assorted vermin.And,if you substitute cat food for the oatmeal,it helps to purify the feline gene pool also.

--I liked the video. Poison free and that Dodge was pretty nice. Wish he would have opened the hood.

LoL! No, while I still miss Sam (sniff) I no longer find his other four thousand relatives amusing. I need to borrow a cat.
The shrew has a venomous bite. I think it could seriously put the hurt on a house cat. The shrew probably would die, but I doubt the cat would ever mess with another one.

Ive been trying to find out (from the same fish and game guy I asked about shrews jumping) if our shrews have the venom.
I understand that the short-tail shrew (down south) has the venom but I dont think ours do.
I have caught them before by hand and after a moment of panic they calm down and show no fear. I have not been bitten yet.
If you havent yet, watch the video link cougar posted on msg #91

Bark, I understood it to be the North American Shrew that had the bad bite, maybe I was wrong.
Eric, you still didn't wave, I'm hurt.
You know I'm sensitive.
