Rust bullet! - DTR sponsor.

I think I am going to order some of this stuff. It sounds great. I have used POR-15 in the past and the application is a pain in the butt. You have to really treat the metal first, and you have to topcoat it, but Rust Bullet says you don't need to do either. I got this new trailer and the wheels are rusting so I am going to give it a shot. Has anyone used it??

I'd like to get some and give it the ultimate test. My horsetrailer that I will be painting this spring. If it will work on a horsetrailer it will work anywhere.

This stuff definitely STICKS and sticks well. I did a terrible painting job but the wheels turned out pretty well. Good enough at least for wheels headed for the garbage. The finish is nice and smooth. It filled in those rust pits very well and the color is nice. I would say if I had time to do a better job and more skill, it definitely would turn out great.

I only used 3 out of the 6 of the "6 shooter" but I only painted the front/back of 6 wheels (not the entire wheel). I would say 1 "shot" per wheel would've been perfect to do a thorough job including 2 coats as per their suggestion.

You can see my awful painting technique yielded some very bad overspray but again these were basically wheels that were headed for the trash and now they will probably outlast everything else.

Overall would definitely use again. Of course time will tell how they stand up in the weather but first impression is thumbs up!

Compared to the previous pic I would say it turned out pretty well.
