Well, good customer service! I sent an email at 0100 hours and had a response by 0300.....
Hi Mr. Reynolds,

Thanks for contacting Rust Bullet with your questions.

Our product will work miracles on this type of project providing you with many years of trouble free service.

Rust Bullet® is a Unique Patented Rust Killing Formula. The Patented New Technology in Rust Bullet® allows you to paint over rust with little or no Surface Preparation, which drastically reduces the cost of rust repairs. Just remove the loose rust or paint from the surface to be coated by lightly scraping, sanding, or wire brushing making sure the surface is completely dry. To clean the surfaces of mildew, oily substances, wax, and loose particles simply use soap and water. No additional surface preparation is necessary as Rust Bullet® bonds with the rust to form a super-tough, armor like coating. Best of all Rust Bullet comes with a 10 year warranty. Who else can say that?

Why Do I Need to Apply Two Coats?

The reason that at least 2 coats of Rust Bullet are always required is because when Rust Bullet cures it releases carbon dioxide gas (wile Dehydrating the Rust) and this gas creates small pin holes in the coating. The second coat seals these tiny pin holes once and for all. If the pin holes were not sealed after the first coat air and moisture could penetrate the coating allowing rust and corrosion to form.

It you desire to put on a colored top coat of your choice (any type will work Latex, Enamel, Lacquer, ect.) just apply your desired color 24 hours after the last coat of Rust bullet. Optimum drying time between Rust Bullet coats is 2 to 4 hours. (When you can not transfer Rust Bullet to a gloved finger tip it is ok to apply an additional coat of Rust Bullet.) Note, Rust Bullet is a moisture cured product high humid conditions accelerate the dry time.

Visit our web site www.RustBullet.com place your order and we will send it to you ASAP. You would want to use the Regular Industrial Rust Bullet Formula. The Automotive is a bit thinner with more metal in it for a smoother finish

Sounds like the ticket for the frame on the 5th wheel. I spray paint the areas that you can see every year, but it seems to need it every year. Wonder how much it would coat to do ?
