Forest would be so proud! Off the crutches and back to work, the Hat has broken free of the chains of gimpydom and is recovering nicely!
Coffee is on. Special chewy blend, last weeks grounds with just a hint of jet fuel.
Warming up Blake's flying phoo for Don.

Doin real good. Gonna start going to the gym pretty soon here and get some leg strength going pretty soon here.
Just got done painting some more... still not done. Getting close, tho. If I get a couple hours in tomorrow, I'll kick it. Hope I can get the carpet in tomorrow.
Ok. Off to bed.

Morning.... coffee's good. Fit for an infidel. Dragon's been out for his stretch and stoked. A little tired, Band of Brothers was on last night. Raisin bagels are out, pot of spaghetti in the fridge for lunch.
Morning all.
Today is Sunday, September 19th.
On this day in 1777 - The Battle of Saratoga was won by American soldiers during the Revolutionary War.
1876 - Melville R. Bissell patented the carpet sweeper.
1881 - James A. Garfield died of wounds from an assassin. The 20th U.S. president lived for 11 weeks after the wounds were inflicted.
1945 - William Joyce, also known as "Lord Haw-Haw", was sentenced to death by a British court for his role as a **** propagandist.
1957 - The U.S. conducted its first underground nuclear test. The test took place in the Nevada desert.
1959 - Nikita Khruschev was not allowed to visit Disneyland due to security reasons. Khrushchev reacted angrily.
1960 - Cuban leader Fidel Castro, in New York to visit the United Nations, checked out of the Shelburne Hotel angrily after a dispute with the management.
1982 - Scott Fahlman became the first person to use :-) in an online message.
1995 - The Unabomber's manifesto was published by The Washington Post and the New York Times.
1995 - The U.S. Senate passed a welfare overhaul bill.
2002 - In Ivory Coast, around 750 rebel soldiers attempted to overthrow the government. U.S. troops landed on September 25th to help move foreigners, including Americans, to safer areas.
2003 - It was reported that AOL Time Warner was going to drop "AOL" from its name and be known as Time Warner Inc. The company had announced its merger and name change on January 10, 2000.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The things that come to those who wait maybe the things left by those who got there first.

Good morning sleepyheads from a cloudy Paradise. Coffee with a hint of jet fuel? Is that supposed to be superior to diesel?
Thinking about all the folks here with problems such as bad legs, (LEGGS?) sick, family problems, financial problems and much more. Google Nick Vujcic. There is a lot out there on this incredible guy. Now, compared to him, what is your problem? You can overcome whatever is your problem too. Today is the start of the rest of your life, so what are you going to do with it?
Later today am going to do one job I do not enjoy doing, - washing my fiver in preparation for a daybreak start on Wednesday. At least it is not raining.
Hope everybody has a fantasic day.
