Rubber Grommets
Where can one source rubber grommets to fill holes in the firewall? I'm looking specifically for the oval shaped grommets.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions folks.
I'm working with my boy, doing an engine-swap in his car. He's doing a bunch of stuff including a complete wiring harness tuck and well as brake-line tuck.
Doing away with the AC leaves an oval shaped hole in the firewall for example. One option he's considering is to fill those type holes with an OEM appearing rubber grommet type of plug. He's also considering simply covering the openings with sheet-metal TIG'ed into place.
(He's not in to my suggestion of painting it all satin-black and shutting the hood)

Either that, or get a picture of whitney huston and put it over the hole. That way, you can say I put a dead in my son's car that drew too much media attention.

I'm pushing covered with metal and sealed so as to keep with the firewall safety aspects. For some reason however, he's opposed to rivets and would rather weld them in. I confess I'm not that proficient with my TIG and thin sheet metal and know it's not gonna be as pretty as we would like.

To fill the hole left by removing the a/c, the easiest solution may be to visit the wrecker and find the same car that was built without a/c, and take whatever the factory used to fill the hole.

That's just the link to a quick search. You'll probably need to dig around a little bit. But McM Carr ships quick and have a tons of hardware. Worth a look.

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
Did this one time on a old Nova. Pulled a I6 out and put in a V8. Redid all wires. All holes were covered with sheet metal and blended in before paint. Much more work but the outcome is a hundred times cleaner and nicer than any other "Fix"
Do you know anybody else that can MIG or TIG better than you? Might be worth a few bucks or beer and pizza

This won't help with plugging the holes but it may with the wiring. I just found it today while looking for some info for another member. They have allot of automotive grade water proof connectors and even firewall bulkhead connectors.

As to the holes....
First, what kind of vehicle?
Second, Talk to Chaikwa. He uses a glue for making steel beds for trucks so they don't trap water in bad places and rust through. A nicely cut piece of sheet metal glued in place might be an option.
