Rough day

Mom fell down the stairs today and broke her arm and we don't know what else today. They just took her in for xrays so it will be a little while before we know how much damage she did. Poor thing tore her hands up pretty good trying to grab the wrought iron railing to catch her self, just luckily some one saw her fall so she didn't lay there and bleed to long.

Sitting here waiting on word from the Doc, I HATE hospitals

Sorry to hear that. Will be having a word with God asking that she …..and you be OK.

Was she coherent when you got her to the doctor?

Dang it, man. You just have no luck to speak of, besides bad. I'm sorry to hear that.

As always, if there is anything we can do, let us know.

Top = = that's no fun. Your turn to return the favors - - the times she picked you up screaming after falling off you trike, wiping your bloody nose and hugging you telling you it was going to be OK. Prayers are her way, buddy.

Yes she is conscious although she has a big bump on her head and a busted lip where she hit the concrete, she took a nasty fall and we really won't know what all is broken until they finish all the Xrays.

There is NO Orthopedic Surgeon on call here on the weekend (including Friday) and I am just a little bit more ticked off about that than anything else at the moment. If they make her lay there till Monday with out some one seeing her, I will most likely be locked up myself. I am just about ready to go kick down some doors as I know where these Orthopedic Surgeons live.

OK I ran down the Ortho Doc, I happen to know where he golfs and got him to contact the Hospital. Turns out her wrist is broken and she may have damaged her prosthetic knee as well. They are splinting the wrist until the swelling goes down and suturing up the gashes in her foot and hands so she can come home until Monday.

Hey man I know what you mean about hating hospitals. My mom died this valentines day of a massive heart attack. And I could even get to the hospital in time to see her before she went on to be with the lord. The doctors wouldn't even let me back there when I got to the hospital. To say I was mad was an understatement. Let's just say I got to kno the union county pd real well that day. My prayers go out to you and your family and I can honestly and truely say I kno how you feal and I'm sorry man. I hope she pulls thru. Just be thankful for the time yall have had together. I'm only 21 and she was only 46. I'm praying for you man
