I had a Roll-n-Lock for years on 2 trucks. Nice, but "pricey". If you live in a climate with snow & ice, they will freeze up, and you will have a hard time to get it open. It does have a far better "security" factor then the vinyl covers. If I did it all over again, I would go with a vinyl over that rolls up with the ribs. They seem to stand up well to the harsh Wisconsin weather, and a fraction of the cost of a "roll up" cover.

Good luck.

the P/O put a roll-n-lock on my truck when i bought it from the dealer back in 2006. Say the only problem i had with my roll-n-lock was the screws that attach the cover to the spring loaded drum inside all stripped out, all i had to do was take it apart, preload the spring in the drum again and put new screws in. I took it off my truck last spring though because most of the time i had it rolled up anyways and with the shortbeds being so short anyways it takes up a decent amount of bed space. Which then i moved to our place we're renting this year, and i don't have a garage or shed, so i got a toolbox now for all my tools and straps. Needless to say a toolbox took the place of my Roll-n-lock. Good product though. worked great, and it's one of them that also locks against the tailgate too so now one can get into the bed.
