The Rise and Fall of the GM Empire

GM 2005 losses much worst than expected.

Offered them my dabloons when looking to replace my 99 Suburban, but they would'nt come down on the 2500HD price. Went else where as my signature shows. Oh well, good for um'.

GM's biggest problem is their price, style, and unwillingness to bargain on their prices. Their prices are WAY to friggin high for their vehicles and they won't even attempt to come down on the prices. Heck, we paid almost the same amount for my mom's 03 dmax as we did my dad's 02 corvette and we bought both of them brand new off the lot. That's just insane. And don't even get me started on their styling.

I'll get started on GM's styling problem, the full size Chevrolet truck front end is horrible, the aztec thing was god awful, the Canyon is ugly too. The main thing that bothers me about GM's recent styling goofs, is it now appears that Chrysler has been hiring laid off GM designers. I still can not stand the new Durango or Dakota, and the new full size ram.... I am not saying a thing.

I am curious if anyone know about the sales numbers of Dakota pickups in the last 8 years. I used to see them everywhere, still see the old ones but I don't see alot of the new ones (thankfully)

James
