I heard that on the news this morning as well. Remind me not to go to a nightclub anytime soon. This has been a weird week. I hope Richard is ok.

 

The first thing I do when I enter a crowded room is orient myself with the exits. <br><br>I was in a club one night and went over to check the fire escape doors and they were locked. I asked the manager to unlock them and he said No, he didn't want anybody trying to sneak in and beat the $3.00 dollar cover charge. I told him to unlock them or I would call the fire marshall, and i did.<br><br> 30 Minutes later the police made him unlock the doors. The point to this story is, you have to know your environment, even more so now with the terrorist risk we all face.<br><br> If you don't have a clear way out of a building then either make sure it is opened or leave. Only one person going to look out for you, thats yourself!.<br><br> God bless those poor souls.

 

Even when you go to a movie theater, the first thing they tell you is to check out the exits. People may laugh at these precautions but are you willing to take a chance with your life?
Not me........
When we have safety meeting here at the plant, the first topic is the exits too.......

 

Hello folks, No I was not there and I am ok.<br>Not really my kind of place.<br>The wife said that they were playing there but she had to work.<br>Every once in a while we'll go to see a band.<br>Saw a few people on the news that we went to school with.<br>The club is only about .5 miles from my house.<br>Could hear sirens all night and turned on the news.<br>Can hear the news helicopters from my house.<br>Knew some people who may have been there, still waiting to hear from them.<br>Our prayers go out to all of the families involved.<br>Thank you all for your concern.<br><br>Richard
