A man is a man, and we are all created in God's image. But, experience teaches us that there are those out there who have it together more than the average person does.
I don't want to put people up on too high a pedestal, but it is helpful to know who is more of an expert in a given area.
So, if someone has really impressed you with their wisdom and experience, and you find that typically, what they say has merit and value that you can take to the bank, mention them.
My time here has been short, but I recognized pretty quickly that Infidel is someone I can learn something from. There are others, but he stands out to me.
Please, don't go the other way and bash anyone. Like my mother always said, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything.
Romans 14:19 "Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another."

In no specific order...
Wannadiesel
BC847
lmills
Timinva
Shovelhead
Infidel

Jeff Garmon, I don't think he's a member here.

There are a few guys up in Canada that are pretty smart, I can't recall their names. They have some super fast trucks.

There are more that I have ran across in the years here, I cannot remember them all. If I think of anymore, I will put them on the spot here.

Good thread. There are a lot of very smart guys here, and they need their props just like anyone else.

Have not been on here or posting much here but the folks that stand out for me from this site is/are well...quite a few.
Hat, you managed to correspond with me during some changes you have had in your life while I was spiralling around with injuries/surgeries and business crap.
Thanks.
Ed Shovelhead...Rattlin and of course my older Twin...Top.

Who'd a thunk a Canuck would find his Twin in the USA. Strange but cool.

Lots more to mention...fiverbob, Mexstan...I'll post more later...quite a site with real people. Lil Dog, Hohn....and on and on

Never talk to or hang around that blue3quarter guy, he doesn't know a darn thing. All he'll do is get you in trouble!

All those list already are good

I'd like to add Tim (hvytrkmech), from talking to him and reading his posts he's pretty knowledgeble, especially in trucks.

Scotty... be careful about the Canuck cracks! There are a few of us here...

The OP didn't say it just had to be about Diesels either... But Mr. Porterfield deserves a shout out as well... and XLR8R too... the previously mentioned are all very deserving IMO.

Gotta add Jim Lane to that list. Electrical guru. I'm still waiting for him to market the 1st gen replacement wiring harness that has all of his upgrades {drool}.

This doesn't relate to diesels or this forum but I'd elect my Dad.
He always says "An intelligent man doesn't need to use profanity to make his point when speaking". I agree and try to remember this, especially in mixed company. I don't try to be higher than anyone, just not as low as some!
