Redwing boots
I've tried quite a few differnt brands, but they all seem to fall apart on me. I had a pair of wolverines that lasted me 3 months before the sole fell off the front of both boots. My Cabelas boots have lasted me 9 months so far with no issues, other than the toe rubbing thru, but every steel toed boot ive owned has done that. i just bought some Carolina loggers a couple weeks ago (and got toe-savers), we'll see how they do.
BTW, in case anyone cares, Wolverines are made both in China and the USA.
I get about 3 months out of ChinaMart ones, and over a year out of the made in USA ones.
Gotta tell my shoe dealer each time they have to be USA ones though, you think they would learn.

Yes.
I switched to Danner, made in Portland Oregon, and have been happy ever since.
I did have one pair of side zippers where the zipper had a problem. I contacted Danner and they said since I bought them off the internet and not from them, I would have to pay postage or drop them by on my dime, and they would repair or replace them and send them back.
They said if I bought them directly from their store, they would send prepaid postage.
Anyway, I said no problem, and I promptly had a new pair.
Rode the motorcycle up to Alaska, up the Dalton to Deadhorse, up the Dempster to Inuvik and all over the place through rain and several inches of wet concrete consistency slop covered clay and mud.
Comfortable from day one, side zip makes getting in and out of rider pants easy, they stay dry and warm, and they have cleaned up really well.
My employer also switched to Danners. They are more money, but they last (usually outlive a couple replacement soles), they are comfortable, they look good, and they are made locally.
Just my .02

They've done away with most of the American made boots and now have a line of boots that are "only" $180 and they don't last for chit! I haven't bought a pair of the "new" Redwings, but have seen them go to shreds in as littla as 4-5 months with some guys.
They're slowly phasing out the real boots, in fact only 1 store in the Denver area carries the type I wear (which still last 2-3years).
I wear Danners in the winter, steel toes are too cold. They seem to hold up well and very lightweight.
