Many stock trucks still on the road without problems.

Many B.O.M.B.'d trucks still on the road without problems.

Many trucks that tow the limit on a daily basis, no problems.

On the other hand, there have been 53 block failures in all the above.

Total roll of the dice.

Mainly it was from bad castings of the block.

The actual REASON for the failure is a block casting that is too thin.

We are just trying to see where most of the failures come from.Didn't know how to do a poll,so I had to do it like this. Haloman and JKM,very aware of that.

The best reason I've found is the casting flaws and the amount of heat cool cycles it goes through and the extremes of hot to cold.

Bottom line.

Mettalurgical.

I'm guessing a bad delivery from a 9th tier supplier. By the time you get that low on the food chain traceability is TOTALLY nonexistant!

"I'm REALLY sorry Dr. Z, but our suppliers supplier, supplier, supplier, supplier, supplier, supplier doesn't have any production data from the dates in question, nor do they have a quality control plan, or even a reaction plan. But rest assured we are working hard on corrrective actions and this plan we have implemented will prevent future issues within this matter!
