Ratters

Anyone with a web cam needs to pay attention.

Ratters are one of the new kinds of creepy computer spies. They specialize in discreetly recording videos and images through webcams of the hacked victims.

Electrical tape over the camera stops that.

Only problem is most all new laptops, tablets both PC and Mac have them built in above the screen.

A school was already caught spying on its students while in their dorms.
I don't like them.

There was a high school in Philadelphia that got caught spying on one of the girls that went there, they had software that let them turn them on to find them if lost or stolen. They turned on the wrong one and caught her in a state of being not fully clothed. Then the company that they got the laptops through turned around and gave the pictures to the school. Anyone else would have been arrested for child ****.

I have decided against buying a particular model based on less than "it has a webcam built in".

I can fix this problem. Let them log in and see me here on a Sunday morning, all 255LBs of me in my tighty-whites ( yep they got holes in them) with balding head and pot belly drinking coffee looking back at them (How’s that for a visual ).
Hackers will then remove software from my computer and most likely send me a check.

^^^^Unfortunately, there are probably a few out there looking for just that!!!

A Seattle computer repair guy a while back would install a program on specifically lovely lady customer's computers that allowed him to remotely operate the camera feature on the laptops without showing any indication that it was on.

He would then instruct them to place it in a humid environment, like the bathroom, to reduce the operating temps and increase battery life, all the while viewing their actions.

This is all true, you can check it out on line.

"Ratter" is too good of a name for that creep.

A ratter was able to infect Chaikwas computer and turn on his camera without his knowledge.....Doctors think he may one day regain his sight but it will depend on just how severe a shock he took when he saw him undressing.......
