Rain in Texas

Wow its raining, been a long dry spring .All I had to do to change the weather was start cutting hay. For you non farm types that translates to instant monsoon

You're lucky if you have hay to cut, most around here have been feeding hay because the grass in the pasture is shorter than most people's yards. We got a little yesterday but we need a lot more just to get back to close to normal.

It's raining here in AR too. We were taking some kids to the lake today to go tubing for my son's birthday. Now we gotta go to plan B. Just gotta figure out what plan B IS!

It rained pretty good in college station yest for a while and around 6 this morning to now it poured here in austin and there's supposed to be more on the way. We still need some more though. It's so dry down here. Oh well. I'll take what I can get.

All I got at The Ranch was what blew in on the high winds from a few miles away. Just enough sprinkle to mess up the dust on the truck.

It's so bad, I'm worried about my 120# puppy falling into one of the cracks!

I've seen some pretty big cracks in the ground before, but never this early in the year.

Well it cleared up for a while. We loaded up and went to the lake anyway . Got in about 2 and a half hours of tubing/swimming. Sky got dark and the bottom fell out. The wife and I weren't going swimming, but we were wet as everyone. Also found out our boat rated for 9 must mean 9 real SMALL people. 3 teenagers on a tube, and 6 people in the boat made my 115 grunt.

We got a good slow soaker in Round Rock this morning. Good enough that the oil pan still had in the back of my truck from the last time I took my oil to dump it is now full of some really NASTY water. Think I'll dump it in the flower beds.
