Valentine 1, have had one for 5 years. Best money I've spent and it has paid for it's self in the number of tickets I didn't get thanks to it. Get the remote face plate too.

Valentine 1 is well worth the price. Do not buy anything else, seriously!

Valentine. They will also update it as reqd. I have had mine for years and just checked on their site and other than not having the latest European stuff, I am still good to go. My V1 has saved me many times.

I don't know about other areas of the country,BUT.....here in the PRC,the CHP's are using LADAR and are able to target specific vehicles. So when your threat detector alerts you.....it is way way too late. Our state provided revenue enhancement service, aka Calif Highway Patrol, appears in this economic clime to have but one immediate mission as demonstrated by hiding(in plain view) in the shade of underpasses,"ramping"tucked way back on the on ramp and targeting from your rear, with a display of state revenue enriching manpower not seen since the last recession.
While I wish all here wonderful holidays(Christmas and Hanukkah),slow down, look ahead and be careful.

Yep, I'm going to be collecting revenue for my state during the holidays too, just like all of those other revenue collectors. Never mind the delivered babies, injured troopers trying to save someone's tail, or rolling around in the ditch with a wanted person who wants nothing but to get away, and will kill you if he has to. Oh yeah, and don't forget about the drug runners... We just love the revenue from them. How about the idiots driving 75 in a 45, or faster while going down a rural road through sharp curves?? What about the guy running people off the road because he's late for Christmas cookies? I guess we're just collecting revenue from them, too. Oh wait, where are the cops when you need them? We just go after the easy target, speeders, so we're never actually there when you need us, right?. It's all about the money, I forgot.

Yeah, we're just out collecting revenue. I've seen a lot of death and destruction on the highways over the past few years and it's because of stupid drivers so for me, the RADAR detector was your warning...

So you enjoy your little holiday while we are out just collecting revenue...

But hey, call us what you want. Nothing I can say will convince you otherwise, so Merry Christmas

Don't forget about those changing the tire for someone too cheap or broke to pay for a wrecker. Fortunately in modern fuel injected vehicles, they can't cyphen off gas for dummies who run out on the road anymore, like they use to do. Our guys are gonna be doing it all in an ice strom this holiday.

For some reason that reminded me about something that happened not long ago. On a stop attempting to collect revenue from a Drunk Driver a while back, a car coming from the opposite direction came straight at us. I had to dive into the driver's side window of the guy I had stopped in order to avoid getting run over. Car kept going and struck another one going on the opposite direction head on. That was a joy... Collecting revenue for the state can be a dangerous endeavor.

We DID have a guy hit last year, by a car that went into a slide while the trooper was policing a single veh. crash. Tossed him over the hood of the patrol car in view of the camera. He came back to work a few weeks later, luckily.

My hat's off to LEOs. You guys can never win only hope to break even thanks to our "justice" system. I've been in the Army over 20 years and I wouldn't want to do your job.

Having said that, I don't like being surprised by you guys. I'm not a big speeder, I just like knowing where you are at.

My delima with the whole thing is just that. When they are traps. I was coming out of ny state coming down a hill pulling a 1500 ram on a trailer doing 69 in a 65. They had a field full of officers and a guy on the bridge running the laser. And they pulled me over. That is revenue produce no safty worries involved

Of course it is. We don't care about your safety. It's just about the money. I'd be curious to hear what your definition of a trap is.

We lost our cheif of police last year due to an ice storm. He had stopped to help a lady who had slide off the road. He was killed by another car after exiting his vehicle to help the lady.

On another note. I speed frequently and if I get pulled over for speeding regardless if the LEO was hiding under a bridge, exit ramp, or in the air. Give me the ticket I deserve it.
