Problem with dealership.... Advice?

I took the truck to Courtesy in Michigan and told the service guy that the abs motor was running even after the truck was off and ABS light was on. He said he'd call me to tell me what they found in about an hour. Two hours later I called and he said they were still trying to figure it out. Then 6 hours after dropping it off he called and said 1600 for the ABS motor and computer installed. I told him to do it because I have no idea how to fix this or install it and I don't know of any other shop around. He says it'll be done tomorrow. Then today (that was all yesterday) I call at 4pm and he says they couldn't get the parts and one of the parts is back ordered until next month. Then he says that he was waiting to hear from me (of course he never called) to see what to do. Then he says he's checking around for parts and he'll call me back. It's now 8pm - no call.
I feel like just picking up the truck and trying somewhere else (of course I don't know where) but I don't know that I trust these guys at all. I have a call into the cummins shop to see if they do this kind of work on the dodge, but i haven't heard back.
I'm sure they are going to charge me an 85 dollar diagnostic fee, but I really feel like they don't deserve it when it took their tech over an hour to find the problem after I told him where to start. Plus they have had horrible communication with me and the only time I find anything out is when I call. Help!!!!

Thoughts, advice and hopefully somewhere else I should take it.......???

pull the ABS fuse/relay and then drive it without ABS. Yeah the light will be on and you will not have ABS, but then again, thats not always a bad thing. If the ABS pump is running constantly, then you have a pretty good chance of not stopping when you apply the brakes.

Just an FYI; alllll sorts of parts are on backorder. I have had a hell of a time getting oil and filters. BTW, I work at a dealership.

Well I went in and talked to the GM and he said I could pick the truck up w/o paying anything. He apologized! I called the Cummins shop here and they gave me the name of a smaller shop guy that should be able to help me out. We'll see how that goes.
