Pre-Memorial day 4x4 fun..

went out to lake pleasant here in AZ, down some side trails.. got tricked into going down some narrow paths (scratched up the sides of truck!) and then up a very steep rocky hill (chewd up the tires quickly! **** bridgestones suck!)...

Check my member gallery for some pics.. have a couple quick videos but no way to host them... truck surprised me with how well it took the inclines... slow in 4 lo and did pretty well...

Oh by the way, whats the best way to remove light scratches? Anyone recommend some good buffing products... I bit some barb wire too, so ill have to buy some finger nail polish to touch up that! ... But there are a ton of light scratches all over it!

Oh haha... thought the drop was only about 6-7" before it was too late.. turned out to be about 12-14"... landed on the frame on pass side and the pumpkin wouldve hit if i kept going straight down.. needed the rocks to clear the pumpkin then go from there.. lol.. im learning to get out and look before assuming its a small drop from here out.

Well i gave up on the scratch removall.... A good wipe down with meguiars scratch x followed up with trurtle wax color care, and it helped remove alot of the noticeable ones, but its still unsatisfactory..

Anyone know what a good price is on a buff job... I emailed a few places and theres one locally a "mobile" service, he said as long as the scratches arent able to get a fingernail in them he can buff out the scratches and wax it for $150.. i think thats a pretty decent price to have her all clean again... ??

I've had alot of luck with meguaiars. Also used some kind of el cheapo wal mart "polish" on an older truck that made the paint look brand new. Being the owner, you'll probably always see the scratches, I know I do. All it takes is a little time on the weekend and you can probably get it done yourself.
