Prayers Needed

Unfortunately there is another family in this world needing prayer. I am posting as myself, friends, and family beleave prayer is the major factor that helped me during my personal tragedy. Also to remind that ALL towns are susceptable to monsters.

The night before last, we had to activate our E.S. team for a small town to the north. The local P.D. with deputies were serving a felony warrant for soliciting prostitution from two females under 16 (again small town). They had a struggle at the door, and his wife stepped between him and officers so he could lock himself inside. They heard her through the door yelling "Put the gun away, it's not worth it." The officers fell back and set up a perimeter. He is a high militia member so the agency called for our assistance due to suspected high power weapons. When I left yesterday morning, they had already attmpted calling and faxing the suspect in the house. Officers attempted to throw a cell phone into a window, but it missed. When retreaving the phone, the suspect shot at officers. Officers returned suppressive/cover fire.

When I came into work this morning, I learned we had a trooper fatally wounded. At around 3:30 pm yesterday, the team went in, removed the wife, and while searching for the suspect, the suspect apparently shot up through the floor hitting Trooper Kevin Marshall. Tpr Marshall was an 8 year troop, and had just recieved a medal in May for bravery while wrestling a knife from a suspect trying to stab another person. Please say a prayer today for Tpr Marshall and his family. Please include the officers still at the scene. We are still at a stand off with the suspect, working on a deadline.
Thank you,
Don

Re:Prayers Needed

Don, just caught the noon news and the stand-off was covered. I will certainly add Trooper Marshall's family to my prayer list, as well as the rest of the officers involved in this on-going situation.

DeWain

Re:Prayers Needed

Well things didn't go so well last night. They had used an armor vehicle (LAV) to approach the house and throw in flash- bangs in preparation of re-entry. It' is aknown rosk to take, but this time it did happen. The house caught on fire. It burned pretty good for a bit even though fire and rescue had been staged. His body was not found in the rubble on the main floor. We still do not know his status. From what we understand he has some sort of secure room or bunker set up. People who know him say he has 90 days of food and supplys as he prepared himself for Y2K. There is also a pole barn near the house. The situation is being treated as though he survived either in the foundation or a bunker. The rest of the house is being dismantled and the pole barn will be searched for a possible link to the basement.

In the meantime, Sterling Heights P.D. (Suburb of Detroit), is helping us out by posting officers around the home of Tpr Marshall's family as the press had been hounding them relentlessly!

Re:Prayers Needed

While we have all our fun with our toys, people around us are getting sick - - sick in their soul and mind. Our nation is becoming sick. Stuff like this didn't happen not that many years ago.

We are forgetting our heritage and foundations. It reminds me of "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray, I will heal their land". We were founded on a faith in God - - we have forgotten that and are allowing Him to be driven out of our land. We are paying the price.

Wow, listen to preacher Bob. Sorry guys - - I just had to say it. It hurts inside to see it happening all around us. We all need to hit our bones and ask God to forgive us for forgetting Him.

I am praying for your situation, Redleg. Be careful.

Re:Prayers Needed

MOSTWANTED, you asked what is happening to folks. Well, I could go on for a page or two in answer to that, but perhaps the following will provide the answer in part:

Here are a few words everyone should think about.

Billy Graham's daughter was being interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?" Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said "I believe that God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of government and to get out of our lives. Being the gentleman that He is, I believe that He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give
us His blessing and His protection if we demand that He leave us alone?"

I know there's been a lot of email going around in regards to 9/11/01, but this really makes you think. If you don't have time, at least skim through it, but the bottom line is something to think about....

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. Let's see, I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body was found recently) complained she didn't want any prayer in our schools, and we said OK.

Then, someone said you better not read the Bible in school... the Bible that says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said, OK.

Then, Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide) and we said, an expert should know what he's talking about so we said OK.

Then, someone said teachers and principals better not discipline our children when they misbehave. And the school administrators said no faculty member in this school better touch a student when they misbehave because we don't want any bad publicity, and we surely don't want to be sued (There's big difference between disciplining and touching, beating, smacking, humiliating, kicking, etc.) And we said, OK.

Then someone said, let's let our daughters have abortions if they want, and they won't even have to tell their parents. And we said, OK.

Then some wise school board member said, since boys will be boys and they're going to do it anyway, let's give our sons all the condoms they want, they can have all the fun they desire, and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school. And we said, OK.

Then some of our top elected officials said it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs. And agreeing with them, we said it doesn't matter to me what anyone, including the President, does in private as long as I have a job and the economy is good.
And then someone said let's print magazines with pictures of nude women and call it wholesome, down-to-earth appreciation for the beauty of the female body. And we said, OK.

And then someone else took that appreciation a step further and published pictures of nude children and then stepped further still by making them available on the Internet. And we said OK; they're entitled to their free speech.

And then the entertainment industry said, let's make TV shows and movies that promote profanity, violence, and illicit sex. And let's record music that encourages rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes. And we said it's just entertainment, it has no adverse effect, and nobody takes it seriously anyway, so go right ahead.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."

Dear God, Why didn't you save the little girl killed in her classroom?"
Sincerely, Concerned Student...

AND THE REPLY
"Dear Concerned Student,
I am not allowed in schools". Sincerely, God.

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.

Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have to believe, think, say, or do anything the Bible says.

Funny how someone can say "I believe in God" but still follow Satan who, by the way, also "believes" in God.

Funny how we are quick to judge but not to be judged.

Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.

Funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but the public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Funny how someone can be so fired up for Christ on Sunday, but be an invisible Christian the rest of the week.

Are you laughing?

Funny how when you go to forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them. Funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me.

Are you thinking?

Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it....no one will know that you did. But, if you discard this thought process, then don't sit back and complain about what a bad shape the world is in!

Re:Prayers Needed

Thanks, Mexstan.

My wife and I were just commenting along the same lines on some of the happenings that have been reported the last couple of days. Makes you wonder where this world is headed.

Re:Prayers Needed

redramnc, thanks for your comments. I believe I know where it is headed. As I have also mentioned on other threads, I also believe that America is in great danger, not so much from terrorists but from within. Now as never before in history!!! Maybe I should start a separate thread on that. At the risk of sounding like a wierdo or something similar (or worse) I think that we are in the very last of the last days of Bible prophecy. I have read the Bible prophecies plus studied it for years and am quite sure of my facts. Unlike others who just make a decision on what they have heard or read in the news twisting media.

Re:Prayers Needed

Go ahead. This message needs to be taken to the grass roots Americans and get them to wake up to the insidious threats facing them. Also see a recent thread about a wake up call.
