Potential towing disaster...
A bravada is just like an chevy (s10) blazer or a gmc jimmy, so its a small truck frame and most of them are rated for 5k.
It would be about the same as pulling a 3500lb trailer with an S10 V6, which I think should be fine. I pulled that much with my tacoma and it did ok.

yesterday I was following a huge 25-30 foot fishing boat, it had 2 big black outboard motors, probably 175s or 200, not sure, I went to pass because they were going kinda slow 35mph and swaying too. the tow "rig" was an 89 ish nissan 2wd single cab truck, sounded like he had 1st gear wound up to 5 grand too
also the chains were dragging, the bumper was about 4 inches off the ground, and it looked like the front tires were about to take flight

Mom has an 04 Bravada with the 4.2 liter 275hp 275lb inline 6. Powerwise it would pull with any half ton truck out there and has way more bottom end grunt than most of the V8 new trucks I've driven. It's torque is highest at 3600rpm where the Hemi Dodge comes in at 4200rpm. It's rated at 6100 pounds for towing capacity. I would be more concerned about sway and sag than anything else. Plus it only weighs around 4600 to 4800 pounds. Mom's has the towing package with 4.10 gears and still has the softest suspension I've ever seen on a suv even with only 10,000 miles on it. I don't think I would like more than 3500 or so behind it myself but I'm use to towing with my truck. It is a fun little truck from stop light to stop light. It just squats and leaps.
