It means that anything you contribute to the 'Other' forum will not be counted towards the total number of posts that you have. You can see this number under your name wherever you have posted, (Post Count). Some people have a strange addiction to see how many posts they can accrue so they'll post drivel just to 'up their post count'.

Drivel?

The earlier the 'join date' and the lower the post count = more drivel.

"Drivel"? What chaikwa is referring to is that DTR is kind of supposed to be a swapping post for information
that will help members to repair, upgrade and maintain their trucks.

Unfortunately, some people (like me) cannot even provide help to change windshield wipers.

All I can provide are directions for dance moves and how to wash shrews without killing them.

By the way, welcome to DTR and always keep aspirin handy.

No one wants you to limit your drivel. Just be aware it won't count towards your total posts if you post it here in the 'Other' forum.

As far as posting a picture, the easiest way I've found is to use Photobucket, (a free photo hosting site), then copy the address of the photo on the Photobucket site and paste it into your post here with image tabs around it.

Image tabs are easy; you just type [im+g] (but get rid of the + sign, I did that just to show you what to type. If I didn't add the + sign you wouldn't see any of it) Anyway, after you type the img tab, paste the address of the photo, then add [/img+] at the end, (again, less the + sign), and the photo will magically appear in your post!

And THAT was a pile of drivel!

Most of us don't give a rip about counting posts, which explains the Sam the Shrew and concrete bed liner threads.

Another way to get the image in the message is put the mouse pointer thingy where you want it, then click the "insert image" button at the top and put the URL from photobucket in the blank provided.

A tab is defined as a program word with brackets around it []. Image code is img and /img with the url in between. Post you tube videos with a youtube tab, the video ID, and a /youtube tab.

See, DTR has already enlightened, impressed and amazed you.

We don't have cursors here. If you curse, you'll be asked to leave!

I use a drivel all the time. Especially great on grinding gun parts. Especially trigger assemblies... My drivel is the best drivel around. It does amazing things.

I've never driveled a shrew though.
