Portable or Hideaway CB

I have the 88 Chevy setup for CB now I am looking for something for my car.

by the time the car is done it will be a show and go car so I really don't want anything visible. I mainly want it for going out of state and going to car shows with a bunch up people since it is easier to keep in touch then it is with cellphones.

I am basically looking for something that is protable, but Ideal would be something I could mount in the glovebox and just run the mic. connection to somewhere in the dash so all you would see is that.

I thought I had seen somewhere something like that with the CB controls on the mic.

Then I would have to figure something out with the antenna,I am guessing some little one that sticks to the window.

If someone could point me in teh right driection of a good choice, Or you could tell me who makes the hide-away CBs.

Thanks
Jeff

Cobra has just the ticket for you. Google it or look on Ebay. the mic has all the controls on it and the box tucks up under the dash out of site.

I had one similar to this back when I was into CBs. Get the 12 volt plug and the external antenna and your good to go wherever you are.

I had a handheld cb I bought from radio shack a few years ago and it had a pretty good range on it. It was around 40 dollars.

Well I just foud this on Ebay, its what I was looking for, seems a pretty good price too..

Cobra remote mount CB

Do they make CD antenna that mount on your windshield or something? Looking for something like a litle cell phone antenna one. I would rather have something liek that instead of one that moounts to the body of the car via magnetics.

yes, window ones are available, just check out any truck stop. Although I have heard they do not work the greatest.

If its only gonna be a couple miles between cars, look at some of the 5 mile or 7 mile hunting radios...

Not sure if Radio Shack still sells them, but they used to have a thru the windom mount that will work for a short distance.
Do a Ebay search for cb antennas. There are several sellers. Maybe one has what your looking for.
