So her daughter is a lesbian, and she's upset that someone acknowledged that fact. It's not like she's normal and someone is trying to start a rumor. It's a fact. She wasn't born that way. It's obviously bad parenting. That's what I've always been taught from those on the right. We're not going to flip flop here now are we. Clinton's sexual preferences were worth over $70million of taxpayer's money to investigate. And it's still talked about.

Neither side should use any of the other side's family members in the campaign.

That's always been off limits in the past, even Chris Mathews just said that on TV.

You know there are certain things one can say about their own family members, that should be off limits to non-family members. It's just a fact of life.

It's not up to Kerry and Edwards to blab that over national TV.

That's up to the family where and when they choose to do so.

Kerry and crew can say all they want to try and justify the comment like, "it was common knowledge anyway" but those are lame excuses IMO, it was a classless cheapshot.

If Kerry needs votes bad enough to use that, he doesn't derserve to be president IMO.

Yes I suppose you're right. Kerry isn't my favorite by far. But he's running neck and neck with Bush. That doesn't say much for Bush either. It's like trying to choose your favorite Menendez brother. I don't care for either of them, but we were attacked by Saudis. Bush and the Bush family are too close to the Saudis for comfort. I realize we're to a large extent at the mercy of the Saudis with oil in the mix but that's a big part of the problem. I'm not convinced there's not more to the story than any of us know.

 

It is about ethics and honor, either you have them or you don't.

If Cheney's daughter is the only homosexual Kerry knows I would say it was innocent. She is not the only homosexual he knows so I say he was using her and it was a cheap shot. That being said it doesn't suprise me that democrats don't see the problem here.

 

Anyone with an ounce of integrity would have to agree he messed up when he went after the daughter. The candidates are fair game as they put them selves in this position, but the family should be and always had been considered off limits.

I don't care what political association any candiddate has, this is just plain wrong. I would be just as upset if Bush and gone after one of Kerry's daughters.

 

The scariest part of this entire race for the presidency is that it has shown how easily persuaded people are by someone who can just speak well. I really know very little about politics and really didn't know were either candidate stood until the last couple of debates. I just knew that I had liked what Bush had done in the country to this point. But the last couple debates really have made me worried about the people in our country. I didn't watch the first debate, but made the last two. The thing I noticed the most in the second debate was that Kerry somehow managed to dodge almost every question. And the biggest thing that stuck out to me was how Kerry just kept saying he had a better plan. However, I to this day have no clue what any of these plans are, I really doubt that Kerry does either. Example being what is Kerry's plan for Iraq? How is Kerry going to realistically lower the deficit, and give a tax cut as well? One thing I thought was really not very proffesional on Kerry's part in the final debate was that he continually bad mouthed our alliance in the war on Iraq. But he wants to boost our likeability with other countries. Thats real good bad mouth an alliance that includes Great Britain, our longest and truest alli. Kerry is just telling people what they want to hear, not what is practicle and realistic.

 

Prime Minister Howard re-elected:

"Howard's is a victory for freedom and a blow to terrorists who hoped a repeat of Spain would further unravel the coalition, but it is also a defeat for John Kerry, whose idea of recruiting allies was to have his sister, Diana, tell the Aussies their government's support of the U.S. had made them a bigger target for terrorists and therefore they should not return the Howard government to power."

 

The main stream media hasn't said much about this, but if during the health care part if Bush had said "Well John Edwards wife Elizabeth is overweight and obesity is a serious health problem....." people would have gone nuts! I see no difference in the two statements. Cheney knows his daughter is gay and Edwards knows his wife is overweight. Niether of these things has any business in a presidental debate.

 

A search of the Forbes family will give you the ******* at the thought of Kerry as president. All the way from Osborn's wife staying with a relative (Kennedy killing) to this:

"Kerry's first cousin and friend, Brice Lalonde, an environmentalist activist, is a French Green party politician who was a candidate for President of France in 1981 and currently mayor of Saint-Briac-sur-Mer near the Forbes family estate."

And where did the Forbes/Kerry money come from? From the Chinese opimum smuggling wars.

Diane Kerry, sister, was a teacher in Iran, among other things. She leads his "international" stumping getting forigners to register and vote on absentee ballots.
