Dear God,

Welcome in your eternal Kingdom, Nick Berg, and all the other fallen soldiers and civilians who gave their lives to bring better lives to the people of Iraq and the world.
Give thier families, loved ones, your healing peace and comforting along with the gratitude of all of us who continue to pray for them and for the safe return of our 'brothers and sisters' who serve there and everywhere else to combat evil.
Give them and us the strenght and wisdom to prevail in these trying times.

Amen.

AMEN

MCMLV, you beat me to it. I was on my way over here to start a thread on this very thing when I saw this. I believe in the power of prayer! It has had an impact on my life, and I call all Christians on this board to pray for our troops, and thier families, and our President.

Pray for the Iraqi's too. Despite what the media and liberals say, the majority of Iraqi's want us there, and appreciate our help.

In no way do I condone what occurred in that prison, but for the guys that did the execution, who were too scared to show their face, I don't know if I could be held responsible if they put me on gaurd duty.

I know how you feel Redleg. What bothers me even more is the lack of attention this is getting from the un, human rights organizations etc. Talk about hypocritical. The only thing they're concerned about right now is prisoner abuse that's very minor in comparison. I have been doing a little surfing today, and I've been hard pressed to find anything but prisoner abuse information on a good amount of those websites. Makes me sick, and I can only pray for him and his family at this time. It really makes me wonder what kind of world we live in. Maybe that's why I like being around dogs and other animals so much. People like this make me sick, and it makes me sick to my stomach that the human race can act in such a manner.

There have been alot of non-coalition people (civilians) going to Iraq to make the all mighty tax free dollar. Alot of them have paid with their lives. If you aren't part of the armed forces my advice would be to stay home. No amount of money in the world is worth your or a loved ones life.
Gotta remember also- beheading is nothing new in the Arab world. To do what they did to that kid, is plain wrong though. Bunch of cowards

I saw the video clip of the execution and it ain't pretty - it was done with a hand held knife with many strokes instead of with a sword with one stroke. Poor kid. I feel sorry for his family that it happened and that it was made public this way. It's too bad I am too old to join or I would be over there taking care of some serious business. Also, I would not be hiding my face doing it!

I hope we can get control of the situation quickly and bring some peace and stability to Iraq so that the majority of the people, and not the radical terrorists, can enjoy some form of freedom.
