Pine sap on paint

I have pine sap in a few places on my truck. it's been there for about a week, maybe a week and a half. What is the best way to get that crap off? I can't get it off with my fingernail. some kind of hot press and then scratch it off?

Dont do that...

I recently had sap on all three vehicles. In my case it was pine sap.

Get yourself some Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover:

It works pretty good.

You can also use autobody paint prep/wax remover:

or

And the sap wont stick as much if you follow up with a good cleaner/wax like Mothers Carnuba Gold.

Thanks for the advice. I thought about go be gone but wasn't sure if it would strip the paint. Better go with the wax remover.

Yes, there are several Goo Gone products that are specifically for paint:

at the bottom of that page.

Try the Bug & Tar first, its probably cheapest. Good Luck.
