of the people for the people

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more
than 500 employees and has the following statistics;

29 have been accused of spousal abuse

7 have been arrested for fraud

19 have been accused of writing bad checks

117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

3 have done time for assault

71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

8 have been arrested for shoplifting

21 are currently defendants in lawsuits

84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is? Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress
The same group of Idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

You act suprised?
They could care less about us. WE NEED TERM LIMITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I truely believe that about 1/2 way into thier second term they are wise to the Fat and Lazy ways of a Federal Polotician. We have made it too easy for them to get away with it. Too may MILLIONS in campaign contribuitions and too many HUNDREDS of MILLIONS in Lobby money being spread around for anyone to be honest anynmore. Republican, Democrat of Other, we need to just give up and face the fact that Big Business and greedy poloticains (90% of which are Lawyers
) run this outfit!
The actaul tructh behind it (what we acidentially hear) is sickining.

It is interesting to say the least. Of course it has been around in a number of forms but...

Look at it this way: it does not mention any party afiliation, so it is not a smear tactic by one side or another. The way Sopes critiques it, it makes you wonder why? To say the least. Having it called false would have suficed but it goes on a tirade that is totaly overkill.

No the conclusion is not that ALL our politicians are "BAD" but rather that we as the people who elect them should do a thorough job in evaluating our representatives not only while they campaign but while in office too. Keep in mind that they represent US and as such it is not a far strech to say they also reflect upon US. By the way it is not wrong to expect more on every level from those who lead our country, otherwise we could all do it.

The problem with politicians is that most of them are lawyers.

Is there an echo in here????????

The other main problem is you need to have like a minimum of half a milion dollars in the bank to run for any "real" office.
Lets see, which one of the candidates in '04 was NOT a Millionaire? Answer, NONE!
That doesn't seem very "representative" of most Americans!
(unless I'm missing something here)?
