Peanut Butter Recall
Peanut Butter Recall
I don't know if any of you heard on the news or read it in the newspaper, but there is a national recall on "Peter Pan" Peanut Butter manafactured by "Con Agra Foods." Apparently they have had around 300 reported cases nationwide of salmonella poisoning from this peanut butter dating back to August 2006! The "lot number" on this "Peter Pan" Peanut Butter that has the salmonella is lot number "2111".
And guess what? My wife goes to our pantry when she hears this on CNN News this morning and sure enough, we have one of "2111" jars of this infected stuff!!
Anyway, thought the members would want to know about this before they got sick.

Here's a phone number & address to call if you have the tainted peanut butter.
The Food and Drug Administration says a salmonella outbreak that began last summer has recently been traced to peanut butter made at a ConAgra plant in Sylvester, Georgia.
The peanut butter recalled was sold under the Peter Pan and Great Value brands.
The recall does not affect Great Value peanut butter made by other manufacturers, the FDA said.
Product codes beginning with the number 2111 are on the product lids.
ConAgra said in the aftermath of a salmonella outbreak, that consumers should throw away all Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter jars produced by ConAgra that have that product code.
Lids of jars with a product code beginning with "2111" can be returned to ConAgra for a refund, the company said.
To get a refund, consumers should send lids and their names and addresses to ConAgra Foods, P.O. Box 57078, Irvine, CA 92619-7078 This is the first salmonella outbreak linked to peanut butter in US history.
West Virginia's border states - Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland and Ohio - have also reported cases.
Federal health officials say about 20 percent of those infected had to be hospitalized, but all survived.
Symptoms of salmonella can include diarrhea, fever, dehydration, abdominal pain and vomiting.
For more information about a refund - call 866-344-6970.

Yup,
I already had the flu and last week I got terribly sick with gastrointestinal problems. I'd been eating alot of that infected stuff the two days before I got really bad.
I've felt like pre-edited by UnrulyNFS for about 3weeks now. I just wanna feel better.
