It is just stupid how it seems "CELEB" status gets you special treatment. They always throw some crazy sentence at them and say "if convicted" but they never are and end up getting out of it. Either that or serving some retarded probation..........if I did have the stuff most of the celebs do I'd have my butt thrown in jail no questions.

Just ticks me off why they get away with stuff just because of their name!!

Hard to understand why people are so quick to assinate someone who is rich-famous in the pulbic eye . Bet if it were these same peoples family members or friends they would quickly go into a defense posture.

IIRC, Paris is wealthy in her own being. She has a couple of lines of clothes and was/is a runway model so she has made her money. And why should yall be angry at her? Cause she was drinking and driving? How many times have any of yall had a beer or two at a buddy's place or for dinner and then drove home (excluding those who don't drink)? The only reason this made the news is because she's Paris Hilton. If I had gotten caught do you think anybody would have said anything about it? Heck, I'da probably gotten away. But the fact that she's famous makes it all that much bigger of a deal. Whoopty doo. She's a person not much older than I am and she likes to go out with her friends and have a couple of drinks. Big deal. Do I agree with drinking and driving? No. But we've all done it and will probably do it again. I'd driven home after only one drink and not thought twice about it. So maybe yall oughta ease up a bit and take a look back at the big picture.

Bare minimum is still driving drunk.

Its quite b/s that they dont get prosecuted like a normal human would be, but instead excuses are made up and $$ tossed around to make it all better.

She should be put in jail to make a new girlfriend.

And about "overzealous cop wanted some attention." Thats a crock. She probably tried to pay him off and I salute him for doing his job and taking drunk drivers off the road.

Ha. I'll bet that's exactly what she did. I'm gonna have to agree with Herb on this one. It was probably some cop who probably woulda let a normal human being go (if there is such a thing in hollywood) if they weren't acting drunk but since it was someone famous they wanted to make an example out of them. Can I prove this? No. Can you prove your theory? No. The only reason this is such a big deal is because she's famous. Would you honestly care this much if it was regular Joe Schmo? No. None of us would.

I think something similar happened to Steve Mcnair in Nashville. Cop said he swerved over the yellow line or something. He had been drinking, don't know how much. Judge threw it out of court or some kinda stuff like that, something about the officer, blah,blah,blah.. Paris Hilton....she can do what she wants in her world, stay the h@$% away from mine. Don't care what/who she does, will she get off, probably....can we do anything about it....no. Oh well, just a bunch of useless news reporting....nobody got killed tonight but Paris got caught drinking and driving....if I may quote an earlier post...WHoopty DOO!!

Incorrect on all counts Herb. You can go to jail at any or no alcohol level if it henders your driving(I think this should apply to some people sober driving). Even for a medical condition, say Diabetes.

No matter what she had to drink or eat she should still have to be responsible for breaking the law. In addition it is just plain stupid. No matter if it was a mistake it is STUPID. No matter who does it, it is STUPID.

I would/have felt the same way about my family and MYSELF(not DWI/DUI just general stupidity). It is called personal responibility for your actions. All mistakes can be forgiven but there are still the earthly consequences to deal with.
