Dan I haven't returned anyones emails or PM's for 2 days because the phone lines have been down here. No phone, no Internet...just got it fixed about an hour ago.

I have a ton of replies to make and phone calls to return that went straight to voice mail You can PM me if you wish that may be the fastest way now for me to find out who you are what you ordered

Lary

I'm sure Lary hasn't seen this yet but he would agree when I say you're welcome. If you would have given him a chance, you probably wouldn't have found the need to bash us on the feedback system for the store. You're still welcome here anytime and you're welcome to order any time you'd like. Lary will still do everything in his power to take care of you and make sure things are right. In the future, I can only ask that you do the same.

Dan brings up a good point...

Jack / Lary
Would there be a way to maybe post a message to the site in the future if systems are down like this, at least that way people know they are not being ignored and the problem is being worked?

He is rather new to the site, so he may not be aware of your good reputation and quick responses as many of us would assume something isn't right if we didn't hear back.

Planned outages, yes. However in this case Lary's phone/internet outage was caused by a bad lightning storm.

that makes sense... I am sure Lary tried all he could - I am sure if someone knew they would have posted something.

I was pretty much in the dark here, no phones, no internet service.....I am considering going with satellite Internet to solve this issue. At least that way as long as I have fuel in the generator I can access the site and store.

I am still returning calls from 2 days ago now....getting behind pretty much just sucks

I know the feeling.... If you have cell reception you could always get internet through your cell provider... so as long as the cell towers are standing you should have internet...

Nothing like that here on the mountain top yet....maybe in 20 years or so We just got DSL a couple years ago, but these old phone lines are a real problem. Power outages and phone disruptions are pretty much a weekly occurrence to one level or another usually nothing more than a minute or two as they are switching circuits.

I have a digital clock next to the TV that is always flashing the wrong time. My buddy came to stay for a week and was complaining I was too lazy to reset it, after he reset it 4 times in 2 days he quit too

I can always tell when I am going to lose power and need to fire up the generator. The lights will go out 3 times as they try to switch around the bad circuit. If I get the 3rd flicker I head for the generator because I know it is gone for at least 5 hours, no sense in waiting for it to come back on.

Our electrical and phone infrastructure here is pretty well over taxed for the antiquated equipment they are using. But that is the price you pay for living on top of a mountain instead of a big city.
