i doubt that, every kid I have every met later was never mad at me for being tough, but they were glad i was tough & fair.

people under you know how to deal with someone who is tough and fair, and always does what is best for the troop/boat/country.

they don't know how to deal with two faced weak leaders.

weak senior enlisted leadership is the #1 reason most folks name as why they got out.

Slow week here. Even slower night. Pretty uneventful day. Spent 2 hours at the post office today. Our main guy who ships out all of our ebay international and US mail items was out, so I had to tag along and give assistance. Ya, that was a bore. I had a lot to get done at work so I stayed an extra couple hours. Nothing going on here tonight at the house. Reeeelax. Tired. Ah well. Hope everyone enjoys their evening

Maybe you do, maybe you don't. Maybe you create heroes also. On the a.m. news I saw a story out of NC. A 37 year old Marine Master Sergeant with 18 years service lost his life after saving 2 kids who were in trouble at a NC beach. He apparently got caught in the same rip tide that was dragging the kids down. You just keep doing what you do, the formula works.
