I met buffalo Bob (Howdy Doody) at my school.
I still have my sprinkler top for ironing clothes.
I can tell you the background of 'penny candy' and still name about 20.

No, sad thing is that most of those questions were before our time! I wasn't around yet to know that WWII women would paint their legs to look like stockings. And I wasn't around in '46 to know about the Studebaker either. Skates, in MY time, were held on with straps and buckles. I'd heard of skate keys, so I got it right. The most dreaded disease in the 40's and 50's? I was born in '61 so I had no idea! And "I'll be down to get you in a JIFFY' was the saying I'd heard before. Never heard the taxi one. I never saw Howdy Doody for some reason, tho I guess he was within my lifetime.

On a side note Heidi, to us, 'penny candy' was just one kind; the paper strips with little dots of colored hard sugar on it. Looked like acid actually! Everything else had a name other than penny candy.

Pretty good test just the same tho. I got 2 wrong.

Geez, not only did I know the answers, I spent 10 years in Civil Defense and actually trained people in nuclear respopnse drills. Here's a bonus, does anybody remember the actual name of the agency called Civil Defense? (It wasn't civil defense, that's what it did, not what it was called.)
