Dewalt NiCad Batteries
Ok...All of my Dewalt 18V batteries seem to be developing memory Isn't there a way to restore them?? I seem to remember something like freezing them???? If not, who has a good price on new ones? Surely theres an online spot cheaper than the Despot or Ace? Batteries are 4 years old

Freezing will not do anything for NiCad's.
I have a Christie Discharger/Analyzer that I've had excellent results with, about a 95% recovery rate.
NiCads have to be discharged to a predetermined static voltage level and then recharged. My charger discharges the batteries and then applies a fix current charge.
Since either one of the above mentioned devices are $$$$, about the only way to attempt to recover their capacity is to attach a load that matches the current draw of the item it's used with. Draw it down to ~ 16 volts and recharge several times.
Hotdram is a power supply wizard with Raytheon and may have additional info on NiCads. You might give him a hollar and see if he can give you a bit more insight.
Something to note, most NiCads are only good for 50 - 100 charge cycles. At least that's what I'm seeing with mine.
