Mornin' All!

Busy night again. Been behind bars for 7 hours tonight and this is the first break I got. Looks like I missed all the excitement.

I'll start a fresh pot and see what crawls in.

ROLL YOUR SORRY BEHINDS OUT OF THE RACK!!!!!

I'm getting better. Sleeping in until 0430 instead of 0330. However, being retired that I am, I still ain't cutting no one any slack, unless................
Got to pick up a load of lumber today. Hopefully get the dairy barn in the dry this week end. Sure be glad when I can work on some of MY projects.
Speaking of, cause I know old dog will be asking. The grist mill will be moving from the house to the barn. Something about the dust.
The sorghum mill is coming along. Got lots of parts to assemble and paint. Still got a syrup house and mill platform to get built, especially the syrup house. Got a 5x8 wood fired evaporator to get put together inside it. For you maple syrup types, the arch is a combination of an old Grimm and D.B. Cook. Grimm did mostly maple while Cook did sugar cane. Took the better points of both. The evaporator pan is a modified Stevens, shaped like \__/ for high initial evaporation but having a bit more control when the syrup is close to finishing. Capacity is 180 gal of juice which will give approximately 20 - 25 gal of syrup.
Dog, be careful when you call for fire. Long time ago a young officer called in his own position as target position. Luck being what it is, we were in contact with a good FAC. Targets were actually 5-6 hundred meters to the LT's front, close enough that we could actually see the targets. Nice direct fire mission. Nothing like the sound of a high velocity(27 lbs @ 3400+ fps) 76 mm round passing less than 50 ft overhead. To this day, the now retired Major General gives me H about the mission. You do not rapidly rip canvas around him.
Since I'm now retired, I will donate all my old OD skivies for use as coffee filters. At least they are clean.
Coffee's ready.

Boy, the nerve of some folks. Come in here first thing in the morning making all kinds of ruckus, talking about home made syrup and didn't even bring pancakes.
Glad you're enjoying the slower pace.

Ya know - - if you just keep a positive attitude, stay nice, don't rock the boat and keep the faith, even a big galloot like like Scotty will finally come around and smell the roses - - errrr - - - I mean the coffee. Yeh man - - welcome to the club. Yep, it's a good one today. And get that arm and shoulder fixed, man. Come to the US - - they will do it quick - - but do it quick before our system ends up like yours. Won't be long coming.

Dreary day here - - very unlike Florida. Light misty rain like Seattle. Wow, even as a type, the sun just almost poked its head out - - yep, here is comes. Yep, there is goes. Oh well. Still nice and warm out there but no suntan today. My SS class has a Valentine's party tonight, so teacher has to go and make sure the committee is getting everything ship shape. ya'll have a great one.

Bob

I have a guaranteed date of March 3 and short notice for Feb 23-27. Anniversary is Feb 28 so we all know I will get called in on Feb 27. Knowing I have a confirmed date helps a bunch. Our system is not what is needed UP HERE or down there. I think something of a blend of the two would make sense. However, anything that makes sense will not happen with any gov involved.
