Re:New reg fees in Calif
Gentlemen -
Here in the peoples republic of San Francisco, in the peoples democratic country of California, we must pay for all those who wish to come here, but bring nothing to the table..Hence why I'm leaving...
Prop Tax, Yearly = 6,400.00
Reg Fees '01 CTD = 724.00
Insurance = 1125.00
parking = 145.00 month

Re:New reg fees in Calif
Ouch!
I register in Idaho (I'm military, so I have that right!) and I only pay $45 for my annual renewal.
I used to live in la republica de los gentes California, but couldn't speak the language. I had to get out. I hated paying for everyone else.
Feel bad for the next guy to take over where Grayout leaves off. They're gonna get stuck with a HUGE bill that can't be paid, cuz nobody works there anymore!

Interesting replies. Wonder what fees are in Taxachusetts and New York. They are also states that are following in Calif footsteps. Run by tax and spend legislatures.
The fruits and nuts have ruined Calif.

Its probably all relative, as my home has appreciated 230k in 14 years, and I make close to twice what I would for the same job someplace else. I'm in a pretty specialized field, so I have to go where the job is..Here unfortunately..
With any luck, I'll retire by xmas...
BTW, its the executive protection field..."bodyguard/driver" stuff for high profile execs & politicians...Got real busy after 9/11..
I drive/protect the CEO of the Bechtel Corporation in S.F..
