New iPod Nano user has ????s

If this is possible, I haven't figured it out yet. We bought the Nano in Houston while on Christmas vacation. We put a bunch of songs on it from the Mom-in-laws computer. Now, we are home in Nebraska and I got iTunes installed a few days ago.

Is there a way to take the songs from the Nano and put them into the library on the computer? I figured out how to go from the library to the nano, but can I go the other way?

Thanks,
technicallychallengedSteve

I dont think you can. Itunes and Ipod are really picky about licenses.

A work around is to plug the ipod into the computer (dont click on anythign that pops up).
Open my computer, there you will see your Ipod as a drive letter, you can copy the files off the ipod to your hard drive. you will have to rename the files as they will not make any sense. add them to your library from there.

IDUMP freeware software lets you transfer songs from your ipod to your pc and vpod software lets you go the other way, they both are free and a lot easier than itunes, just drag n drop.
