New cell phone advice?

Well, here is the basics: I am up for my upgrade this weekend, Verizon is my carrier, I am not needing a phone with a full keyboard, and do not expect my phone to act as a radio. I want a decent phone with good speaker phone, decent camera, overall quality, and of course, super sexxxxy appearance (hahaha had to add that)

Looked at a couple today, LG 8700 and 8550 (new chocolate). 8700 turned me on with so called stainless steel construction, first thought was chrome plating in the future... New Chocolate sounds to be highly improved from original, looks pretty nice. Girl said they would have more new phones in Tuesday, gonna go back Wed. and see what she's got.

Need help, not up on new phones...

I havent checked out any new ones lately but im in the market for an upgrade as well.

Im expecting christmas time to unveil new phones and huge rebate/incentives/discounts.

Would hate to buy one now and have a new killer phone cheaper in one month due to the holiday season just around the corner!

Are you looking for frills, cheap, or durability. My buddy just bought the waterproof, shockproof phone designed for the military and govt. workers. Nice looking and STURDY! I think it was around 150 bucks. Gets a lot better reception too, so say he says! I have the LG VX8300. Works fine and has been thru my torture test as a mechanic, crawing all over it and laying on it and such!

I just bought the VX8700, myself.

I like the phone because...

*good clarity
*BlueTooth capable
*Camera is amazing
*Plays music pretty well (but no outside audio controls)
*AMAZINGLY sleek in appearance. Best looking phone on the market
*Supports up to 4GB of micro memory
*Best screen I have ever seen on a phone... high resolution and amazing color

That being said, I don't know if I'd get it again. My reasons will surely be different than yours, but just for reference...

*It's oddly shaped. It did not fit in any of my current leather cases
*I text a lot. I don't care for the "flat" buttons
*The Clear button is too close to the SEND button
*It clips in the official plastic belt clip BACKWARDS so you can't see the screen on the front with the clock (keeps it from scratching, I suppose)
*Battery life isn't real good

Take that for what its worth.

i like the basic razor.

it's a phone, just a good phone

pics are Ok, just to record something, but not enough for detial

newer razors have better cameras

FLAT, feels good in pocket,
fits in the 06 dash perfect, the charger plug catches on ledge, keeps from slipping out.
