the state is ending a 6 percent sales tax on gasoline and replacing it with a 17.3 cent per gallon excise tax on gas

Don't feel bad, their talking about doing it here too. They want to go from .19 a gal. to .25 a gal. We're just gonna keep pushing any chance at creating industry right out of this state.

Sounds like they want to lock it in at 3 Buck a gallon tax rate. I actualy understand the flat rate per gallon vrs the percentage rate. Its much easier to do all the paper work for the comptroller and station that way on money owed from gas sales. But being from Ca and my wife there right now I hate the way they tax and tax. I still remember sales tax going up across the state from the golden gate quake and it never came back off it was supposed to be a temp fix.
