As i worked there 24 years before transferring 4 years ago to the silica plant, They have reassigned me there to cover all the vacant positions as needed. To say i am overwhelmed is a little bit of an understatement. I am meeting with and overseeing all the plants contacts with vendors, customers, regulatory agencies etc. etc. My to do lists are growing exponentialy. I have been jotting down notes and such to try to keep up with everything. but i need something more. Does anybody have any suggestions for personal organizors or software that would make things easier? Most of the time i have access to a pc. but a lot of times i dont. I think i can handle the job okay if i can keep track of everything. Its kinda like multi-tasking while multi-tasking. haha

I just got promoted to a group leader position (sort of a semi-foreman) and my predecessor had an I-phone. He was usually swamped. I have a notebook, a reasonable memory, a computer in a corner and lots and lots of sticky notes. When the regional manager saw my cubby (it's not even a cubicle) he mentioned the notes and asked how often I refered to them. I told him usually daily and showed him my calendar on the computer. A lot of the tasks my predecessor had piled on him went back to the people hired to do them in the first place. Where he spent 4-5 hours a day on paperwork, much less dock work, I spend about 30-45 minutes and get it all done. Then I go out and help on the dock. I consider myself something of a snot to work for but everybody seems happy enough.
