Looking for anyone who knows a tool company who may sell something similar.

Thanks in advance.

I think you'll end up with either Snap-on or Mac, I can't think of anybody else that might have one that long, although you might give Sears a try just for grins.

I found a 22" on harbor freight.

When I need something that long, I just use a bit and a 1/4 inch ratchet with extensions.

Snap-on makes a soft-grip ratcheting screwdriver. You can pull the shaft
out and put any length 1/4" extension into the handle, then put the shaft
on the end of the extension. Have to use a Snap-on or other small diameter
extension, the cheap extensions are to big to go in the screwdriver handle.
These screwdrivers are about $60.

I agree with Madhat. I checked the Snap-on site. The handle alone is
$49.95, and the shank is $16 and change. Plus shipping and tax.

Thanks guys.

One of the appliances we work on, the oven door handle comes loose and the screw is only accessed from the bottom of the door and the screw is at the top of the door. Gotta love engineers/designers.

We have one 27" #2 Phillips that we must have picked up at a flea market or something over a decade ago. Can't remember, and one of my other techs wants one for himself.

Go to a cheap tool store like Harbor Freight or a flea market. Buy a couple drill bit extensions with set screw locks in the female ends. They'll be hex and the female end should be around 1/4". Just insert a hex phillips and tighten the set screws. I saw some of the extensions last week a tool flea market for $2.50 each for a 12" extension.

Come to think of it, you could get that stuff at Lowe's or Home Depot.

Too thick to fit through the access hole. But I was just informed that 24" will work, which is great since Blake posted the Grainger option.

Here you go. Click on the link and scroll down, extensions to 72". If you're searching locally, they're also known as spade bit extensions. About $23 plus extras.

You could cut the shaft of a screw driver you already have, or buy one with the right tip and grip you like, and weld in an extension... If you ground it smooth you could paint the extension with liquid plastic. With the chaft painted it would protect you from touching any contacts or bare wires and protect you from a short.

You could also own it today, if you can weld or know someone who can.

Probably only cost a few of bucks.

Might even be able to sell a few to recoupe the cost.
