Need to "lower" truck 1 inch for 3 weeks
I'm putting my truck on a barge, it needs to be 7' or less. I need to lower it 1" for 3 weeks...easiest way would be letting air out of my tires, how would they stand up to 30psi or less for 3 weeks? Are there any other easily reversed ways to accomplish this?

Letting the air out even to 20 pounds wont hurt it a bit unless you are driving it a long way. The side walls break down and the tires get hot if they are ran low. Parking them wont bother them at all. Two inch smaller tires would also work also.

I'd get some of the spring compression clamps for the front springs, and a couple of ratchets for the rear axle. You'd not have to mess with the air pressure at all and compressing it by an inch would be a piece of cake and easy to remove.
Best way is to get an extra set of tires/wheels that are super short, like maybe a used set of tires off of a car that has sixteen inch wheels.
A set of 205-60-16 car tires will put it almost on the ground.
i got a set of spare rims coming (work truck take-offs)
you could put some lo pro tires on there, should be ok holding the weight if not driven, i would think.
but i don't suspect you are near here.
don't 2wd come with 265/70/17?

How about a set of strut compressors for the front and a set of chain boomers around the rear axle....aw, just let the air down to 15# and put an air compressor in the cab to get them back up!
