Hoss,<br>This just tickles my little innards. I get so irritated when people call at dinner time. Many times they refer to someone you do business with, such as a credit card company. When you pin them down, they admit they are not employees or actually a part of the bank, rather your information has been sold to them. Our private information given to the bank in order to create an account with them is sold - - . They even have my private unlisted phone number. Disgusting. Someone finally did something right.<br><br>TickledBob

 

Texas initiated a no call list last year and I signed up for it. I don't think I've had any calls since then....but I figured it couldn't hurt to go ahead and get on the national list too...especially since it's free. The Texas one you had to pay a few bucks for. Well worth it though....

 

I just registered my home and business lines, took about 5 seconds. I refuse to get up from thr dinner table to answer the phone, drives the wife nuts. ;D

 

I'm with you....when you sit down for dinner with the family everything else gets put on hold...ESPECIALLY the phone.

Dinner time is family time at my house. The phone can wait. It's kind of funny though. A ringing phone drives my sister nuts. Especially when my dad won't let her get up to get it.

 

Indiana has had the no call list for 2 years now I'd I'll be the first to tell you it's awesome. 8) We used to get 3 to 4 calls a night around supper time, and now we get none. <br><br>Sign up people, you'll love it.<br><br>DB<br>

Yes Yes Yes signed up the first day.....Telemarketers that call during dinner get a ear full from me.....and because I go to bed early (7:30pm) I get very rude to them when They wake me up &gt;<br><br>Sometimes I just play their games....I had one Telemarketer believing that I was havin a major heart attack during the call ;D

 

What really burns my seat to no end is now they call and leave three minute messages on the answering machine. &gt; &gt;

 

We're just starting to get the messages on the answering machine ads. &gt;<br>When they call, I just like to tell them Oh,.... hold on just a second, then set the phone down and walk away. They usually won't stay on the line more than a few minutes.<br>If they think they can waste my time........I'll waste theirs.
